Having a baby is a life-changing experience, and it can be both overwhelming and exhilarating. Oftentimes to help relieve the anxiety in preparing for the birth, it is beneficial to enroll in childbirth education classes. These are wonderful opportunities to learn about the birthing process, the ability of your body, and to be around others who are going through the same journey with you.
Birth education classes help build your confidence in your body’s ability to give birth, give you the opportunity to discuss your concerns about labor with a like-minded community of mothers and instructors, allow your partner to learn about childbirth and to know best how to support you on your big day. You can learn about pain relief strategies and go on a tour of the center.
At Beginnings Birth Center, we are happy to offer many childbirth education class options. We offer classes on labor and birth as well as on infant care including breastfeeding. We teach our classes on-site at the center and we have staff that oversees our classes. We look forward to getting to know you, educating and preparing you, and walking with you on your miraculous journey!

Hypnobabies Colorado Springs
Madison Lopez, instructor (253) 266-1099
Have you ever wondered what is Hypnobabies? Hypnobabies is a very successful 6 week, 3-hours per week, complete childbirth education course that was adapted with permission from Master Hypnotherapist Gerald Kein’s “Painless Childbirth Program” techniques rather than using simple relaxation, breathing or guided imagery. This allows our Hypno-Moms to enjoy “eyes-open childbirth hypnosis”, easily remaining deeply in hypnosis while walking, talking and changing positions; being as mobile as they would like to be during childbirth. Hypnobabies is well-known for helping women to create much shorter, easier and more comfortable labors, making childbirth the joyful experience it was meant to be.
These are babies whose parents choose to easily and naturally prepare for childbirth using the Hypnobabies method of Hypnotic Childbirth, which some might call “hypno-birthing”. Hypnobabies however, is very different in that at Hypnobabies we teach real medical hypnosis techniques, creating an automatically peaceful, relaxing and more comfortable pregnancy, a calm confident Birth Partner, and an easier, much more comfortable natural birthing for our Hypno-Mom.

Childbirth Education by Westside Birth Connection
Candace McCollett, instructor http://westsidebirthconnection.com/childbirth-education/
I provide informative, interactive, confidence-building classes that leave parents with the feeling of trust in the child birthing process. The classes are eclectic in nature, pulling information from independent resources such as Dr. Robert Bradley, Lamaze Institute for Normal Birth, author Sheila Kitzinger and midwife Ina May Gaskin. We focus on breathing techniques and many different comfort techniques that I have learned from my experience attending births as a doula, both in the hospital setting and the home setting. I offer significant discounts for active military families, low income families and my current doula clients.
GROUP classes are offered on Tuesday evenings 6:30pm-9pm at Beginnings Birth Center. Group classes are 8 weeks long, which includes multi-dimensional instruction, a ten chapter student notebook, unlimited phone / email support, and a complimentary postpartum/breastfeeding visit. For a schedule of current classes, please visit my Facebook page. If you have given birth before, please feel free to pick and choose the classes you would like to be “refreshed” on, only $40 per class (see the class outline page on this website for more details).

“We have a secret in our culture, and it’s not that birth is painful. It’s that women are strong.” – Laura Stavoe Harm
Let’s be straight from the start, the thought of a home birth scared the crap out of me. I’m a traditionalist when it comes to birth (or I was)
