Beginnings Birth Center Virtual Orientation and Tours During COVID-19

The first step to enter into care here at Beginnings Birth Center is the Orientation and Tour. Due to precautions with COVID-19, we will be doing these virtually until further notice. First, you are required to review the orientation video which will be sent to you via a client portal message. Please use the contact us form here on our website to schedule this virtual appointment and set up your client portal. You will be scheduled for a specific time and date for your orientation and tour because we need to track that you’ve completed this step, but you can review the video and tour anytime convenient for you once you have the link, not just on that day and time.

Then, if you’d like to view the birth rooms, you’re welcome to do so via this 360-photo tour.

You are welcome to ask any questions you may have in your client portal message center!

We are currently accepting transfer clients at all stages of pregnancy, please contact us to review your specific situation and find out if the birth center is a good fit for you.

We continue to require comprehensive childbirth education classes and privately hired labor doula support as described in the orientation video. These requirements reduce the chance of hospital transfer and increase the chances that you’ll have the experience you are desiring. There are educators and doulas who are willing to work with pregnant women at all stages of pregnancy to meet these requirements, and we can send you information about classes and doulas approved for these requirements through a client portal message.

Your first medical appointment with us will in-person (unless you or anyone in your household are showing any symptoms of illness or have potentially or positively come in contact with someone with COVID-19 – in that case, in most cases, we can complete this visit via video chat). We will do an in-person tour of the birth center at that time. Your official medical records from any prior care during this pregnancy will be needed in advance of having a first medical appointment with us. You will have to complete this first official medical visit with us to be eligible to give birth here at the birth center.

We look forward to working with you and your family and are working hard to keep everyone safe, healthy, and cared for during these unprecedented times.
