Community Resources
Birth center care does not just involve the birth center. We are very fortunate to have MANY services available in our community to educate, support, and promote the health of our clients. Education is an integral part of birth center care, and we have a variety of options that we recommend through local educators. Doula support can be key to a good birth (and postpartum!) experience, check out the list to find out more about options for doulas including postpartum and sibling doulas. Some people may ask “why would I want pictures of THAT”, but just check out our gallery to see some birth photographers’ amazing work. These moments are truly once-in-a-lifetime. Breastfeeding may be very natural but is often not easy and professional lactation support goes a long way to helping clients navigate the challenges many families face through this journey. Massage is more than a special treat, it can help with many of the common discomforts of pregnancy, and there is even special massage for women’s health! Acupuncture, Chiropractic care, and Physical therapy are all complementary care services that help our clients tremendously. The Nurse-Midwives at Beginnings Birth Center often recommend some of these options to our clients during care at the birth center, and you can contact any of the services listed directly to learn more and connect with the options that are right for you.
