Midwives “Catching” Babies

You’ll often hear me say I “catch” babies. That’s because the mom, the one in labor, does all the work – MOM delivers her baby – the midwife catches. It makes it sound like someone else did all the work if “they delivered” your baby. I’ve only delivered four babies – my own four. But I have caught hundreds (in the 700-800 range at last count) and been present for thousands. All are special, and I feel privileged to have been at each and every one.
